IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR IMATU MEMBERS OF SIZWE HOSMED MEDICAL SCHEME

IMATU is pleased to confirm that the SALGBC has granted our exemption application, allowing IMATU members of Sizwe Hosmed Medical Scheme to terminate their membership with effect from 1 December 2025, provided that one month’s written notice is submitted to Sizwe Hosmed by 31 October 2025.

This follows the scheme’s loss of accreditation and placement under curatorship.

The exemption ensures that affected members can exit Sizwe Hosmed earlier and secure medical cover with another accredited medical scheme without disruption.
