Today, we celebrate the rich diversity of our cultures, traditions and communities, the heritage that unites us as one nation. Our diversity is our strength, and together it forms the foundation of a resilient, inclusive and democratic South Africa.

As we commemorate our 30th anniversary, we are reminded that IMATU has been built on the values of unity, solidarity and service. For three decades, we have stood together in advancing the rights and interests of municipal employees, demonstrating that our collective strength lies in our shared commitment to one another and to the communities we serve.

May this day inspire us to honour our heritage, embrace our diversity and continue working together towards a future where dignity, equality and opportunity are enjoyed by all.
